There's nothing like being able to work with my co-producer Sascha Bauml as we work on Da Foodie Boodies project, where we head to homes and check out home chefs that love to cook. And all the free food we can devour makes it totally epic man.

Maria with her son Matthew and me
Maria Ayala lives on Maui, she has 5 kids and a husband, she works hard and loves to cook foods from her native Mexico. On this Part 1 shoot, I had a chance to sample her tamales that had tender, slightly spicy chicken breast, with her recipe of herbs and spices a top secret of course, it was very very good, just delicious. This is only a precursor to what we'll do next with Maria.
We will soon be filming Maria do her cooking, I mean she tells me it will be a major cooking lesson of Mexican food, and I love Mexican food, the real stuff from native Mexico. Maria tells me, "Ron I make everything from scratch." I'm like really? And any person who's a foodie will tell you, food made from scratch and with love is everything, when you have a loved one in your life that takes the time to make foods from scratch, you are truly blessed!
So remember Da Foodie Boodies will be tripping around the world, in search of home cooking that's top, unbeatable, number-one, the Rolls-Royce of home cooking. That's right, Da Foodie Boodies is coming to your house to eat your food!
